St. Lunatics besteht aus den Rappern Nelly, Ali, Murphy Lee, Kyjuan, City Spud und Slo'Down. Aufmerksamkeit erlangte die Gruppe durch die Solokarriere des Rappers Nelly. Nach dem vor 9 Jahren veröffentlichten Debütalbum „Free City“ wurde es allerdings ruhig um sie. Nelly brachte noch drei weitere Soloalben raus.

9 Jahre später wird endlich ein zweites Album „City Free“ auf dem Markt veröffentlicht. Erste Singleauskopplung ist der Track „Money Talks“.

Viele Künstler möchten ihren Wurzeln treu bleiben oder sich für ihre Heimatregion in irgendeiner Form einsetzen. So auch St. Lunatics, die ihr Video zur Erstauskopplung in der Heimat- und Gründerstadt gedreht haben um die dortige Wirtschaft anzukurbeln:

"When you get a chance to do things like this, shoot videos in the city, it generates the funds, it generates the business here. And definitely something we might not be accustomed to happening every day in larger cities. Like the Miamis, the Atlantas, Californias, where they're probably shooting videos every day. When you get a chance to do that, certain companies get to take advantage of that, it's good. It's why we're here."
